Occupy Healthcare w/ Dr. Margaret Flowers



Dr. Margaret Flowers is a pediatrician and activist for Universal Healthcare. She is a passionate organizer involved in the Occupy movement and Physicians for a National Healthcare Policy. She will join us on the show to dicuss the occupy movement and healthcare policy.

Physicians for a National Health Program is a single issue organization advocating a universal, comprehensive single-payer national health program. PNHP has more than 18,000 members and chapters across the United States.

  1. Great guest, great program, Daisy and Gregg. I've personally known a person who died from an abscessed tooth. That's an infection in the head and it can go to the brain. This person, who couldn't afford basic dental care (Medicaid in SC won't cover any dental for adults now, by the way...) ended up in the hospital in ICU, before death. It was a terrible, unnecessary tragedy, and an expensive one for tax payers. Also Gregg, most SC grandparents voted Southern Democrat, not Republican. I can remember when SC was a one party state, and Democratic. To understand what has happened in the south, watch Uprising of 34...
